MAKING YOUR APPLICATION

What do I need to do?
This website will give you general advice and information of most of the courses we currently offer at A, AS, Oxbridge, GCSE and Key Skills qualifications in Communication, Numeracy and Information Technology in the Sixth Form. In Spring you will be asked to make a preliminary choice of subjects for your Sixth Form course. The Head of Sixth Form will then see you individually and together you will make a provisional plan for next year. To view subject specifications, go to Subject Areas.

Whose help do I need in making my application?
It is important that you have individual advice from those who can contribute to your decisions:

Your Parents - who obviously need to be involved in your plans; they will have an opportunity to raise their own points at the pre-Sixth Form Evening held during your GCSE year; if they wish for a longer discussion, they are invited to make an appointment with the Head of Sixth Form.

Subject Staff - who will advise whether you might successfully undertake advanced courses and a combination of subjects.

Your Form Tutor and Head of House - who will know your general capabilities.

The Careers Staff - who hold detailed information on a range of occupations and the qualifications needed to enter them.

The Head of Sixth Form - who has details of all advanced courses in Universities and Colleges together with their entry requirements.
