On entry into the school all girls join one of three houses - Austen, Bronte and Eliot. The houses work as a vertical structure within the school in which all year groups can work together in various social and sporting activities. They are run by house teams of sixth formers under the supervision of a member of staff.

Houses compete for trophies. Sports events, competitions and other activities are held throughout the year with the inter-house sports day taking place at the end of the summer term.

Commendations are given for exceptionally good work or for sustained effort and housepoints are given for helpful behaviour.
