ADMISSIONS ARRANGEMENTS

Admissions Consultation

Under the Government’s new draft Schools Admissions Code (which will be laid before Parliament during December in order to come into force in February 2012), admissions authorities must determine their admission arrangements annually. Where changes are proposed to those arrangements, the admissions authority must first publicly consult on those arrangements; and where no changes are proposed, they must still be consulted on every seven years. There is however no need for own admission authorities to consult on any proposed increase to the PAN (Planned Admission Number). Consultation must be for eight weeks and must take place between 1 November and 1 March of the year before those arrangements are to apply.

The admissions arrangements which the governors of Stratford-upon-Avon Grammar School for Girls propose for entry in September 2013 are attached here. Consultation opened on Friday 16 December 2011 and will close on Friday 10 February 2012.

Please address any comments to the School Business Manager at the school: Stratford-upon-Avon Grammar School for Girls, Shottery Manor, Shottery, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 9HA; or email: day.p@we-learn.com.
